Routine manuals:

This gymsport festival is for year 2-8 students from Hamilton City schools to come along and have fun at a gymnastics event.  There are three levels: Springers, Flyers and Twisters and three apparatus: Floor, Beam/Mat and Vault.

For novice gymnasts teachers choose the level that best suits their students' ability.  For club gymnasts competing in the Steps/Levels programmes, the Schools Festival Handbook identifies which level they are.  All club gymnasts Open Junior and above compete in the June festival event.

The event is divided into divisions Years 2-4, Years 5&6 and Years 7&8.  Alll participants will recieve a Festival ribbon!

Hundreds of students participate in school gymsport festivals at six other events across the Waikato. This gymsport festival is a more competitive event for those gymnasts who place in the top 6 or 8 (depending on numbers) in Flyers and Twisters for each of the year group divisions.

Schools will receive an invitation for these gymnasts to attend this event and contend for School Gymsport Festival medals.

The Schools Festival handbook also has routines for Cheer-leading, Aerobics and Hip Hop groups. All Hamilton City schools, group performance categories will be judged at the Hamilton City School Gymsport Festival with the top teams in each style invited to the Waikato Regional Schools GymSport event.
